WellCo was built around a different idea.
Since 2017, I've been designing private journeys through Slovenia — refining every route mile by mile, season by season, long before WellCo Travel took its current shape in Canada. And I'm not doing this alone. Behind every journey are people for whom Slovenia is home — a place they love deeply and are always glad to share with the travellers who visit.
I believe Slovenia is best experienced slowly — through quiet roads beyond the standard route, long evenings in small Adriatic towns, thermal escapes hidden in the hills, places that still feel genuinely lived-in, and the freedom to stay somewhere longer simply because it feels right.
That's why I focus on private, tailor-made journeys built around people, not bus schedules. Not to see more in less time — but to experience places more deeply while you're there.
What makes WellCo Travel different
- Slovenia is not one of many destinations for us. It is the heart of everything we design.
- We travel across the entire country — from Adriatic seaside towns to quiet thermal retreats, from mountain roads to ski regions, vineyards, and places far beyond the usual tourist route. Slovenia may look small on the map, but the experience of travelling through it can feel surprisingly diverse — and we believe journeys should never feel limited to just one region or a fixed route.
- Some journeys naturally continue into nearby parts of Italy, Croatia, or Austria. Not because borders matter less here — but because this part of Europe has always felt connected through culture, history, food, and the rhythm of travel itself.
- We work primarily with independent travellers, couples, families, and small private groups. We prefer journeys where every traveller receives real attention and space for flexibility along the way.
- Our routes are continuously shaped and refined through personal experience and years of exploring Slovenia in depth. We pay close attention to the details that often define the entire experience — seasonality, actual travel distances, atmosphere, and the character of each region itself — the difference between a good trip and one that feels effortless.
- And because travel feels more personal when communication feels easy, WellCo works in English, Ukrainian, and Russian, allowing guests to choose whichever language feels most comfortable throughout the journey.
