Yes — Postojna sits directly on the route to the coast, so combining the two works well if you're departing from Ljubljana or nearby. This isn't one of our standard day trips yet, so get in touch with your dates and we'll put together a custom route for you.
About 55 km, roughly 45 minutes by car. Close enough for an easy day trip, but far enough to feel like a different Slovenia. See the Lake Bled & Bled Castle day trip.

It's possible, but we recommend keeping them as separate days. The Soča Valley has enough on its own — gorges, waterfalls, Vršič Pass — that combining it with Bled means rushing through one or both. Two focused days beat one long, compressed one. See the Soča Valley & Julian Alps day trip.
A day trip is enough to see Bled properly — the lake, the castle, the island church. Staying overnight gives you a slower, quieter version of Bled that a day-tripping crowd never sees: early morning mist over the water, the lake without the tour buses. Slovenia is a small country of about 2 million people, yet it welcomes more than 7 million visitors a year — the best hotels and the most experienced guides get booked up quickly, often months in advance. Some of our guests plan their trip six months to a year ahead. That's not meant to alarm you — it's simply that the earlier you start shaping your plans, the more certainty you have of getting exactly the experience you want.

Yes, year-round. The Soča Valley & Julian Alps trip changes shape in winter — Vršič Pass closes, so we run an adjusted route instead, with a different set of stops suited to the season. Get in touch and we'll put together the winter version, or recommend one of our other day trips if you'd rather keep things simple.
Outside Ljubljana, public transport in Slovenia is limited and infrequent, so most visitors either rent a car or book a private driver-guide. A private day trip removes the driving, navigation and parking — and your guide adds context a self-drive day won't give you. If you're staying in more than one region, it's worth comparing the cost of a rental against a private day trip; they often land closer than people expect.
Yes — Slovenia is an easy, welcoming country to explore at any age, and almost every day trip can be adapted, from travelers with infants to those with limited mobility. Some routes involve more walking or uneven terrain than others — Tolmin Gorges has around 500 steps, for instance, and Predjama Castle isn't wheelchair accessible — so tell us about your group when you book, and we'll recommend the right trip or adjust the pace to fit.
Per person, day trips run from about €85 to €490 depending on your group size and the trip (2026 pricing). Pricing depends on the trip and your group size — a private sedan covers up to 3 travelers, a minivan up to 8, and the per-person rate drops as the group grows.
