Built dramatically into the entrance of a towering cave, Predjama Castle is one of the most extraordinary medieval castles in the world. Postojna's underground railway is a highlight for kids of all ages, Predjama Castle's hidden tunnel and siege story tend to capture young imaginations, and Bled Castle's working printing press is usually a hit too. There is no minimum age for any of the three sights.

Predjama Castle is approximately 9 kilometres from Postojna Cave — around a 10-minute drive. Both sites are visited comfortably within the same day.
Not essential — tickets to Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle are available at the gate, and your guide will time the visit to keep waiting to a minimum. Booking ahead can save some time in peak season (June–September) if you prefer to skip the ticket queue entirely, but it's easily sorted on the day if you'd rather not plan that far in advance.
All three sights are open year-round, and each season offers something different. Summer brings the longest days and the most vivid colours at Lake Bled; spring and autumn offer quieter crowds and cooler driving conditions; winter turns Bled into a snow-framed scene that most tourists never see.
